Summary[sửa]

Team Bucciarati has arrived at the Venezia-Tessera Airport to take a plane to Sardinia, allowing them to fly rapidly to Sardinia, out of the reach of any Stand User.

Tập tin:CarneDeath.png

While Abbacchio turns Moody Blues into a pilot and searches for a time when a pilot flew the plane and enters the IATA code to Sardinia, the whole team mobilizes to secure the area. In the cabin, Trish also notices Bucciarati's strange condition but stays silent in her puzzlement. Suddenly, Narancia spots a suspicious man advancing toward them. Mista warns him to keep away, but as the man keeps advancing, he shoots him once in the leg. The enemy suddenly summons his Stand but Mista immediately deploys Sex Pistols to shoot him in the heads several times, killing him on the spot. Giorno touches the corpse to sense if there is life in him and confirms the assailant's death. Everyone thus boards the plane, leaving the corpse behind them. Trish uses the occasion to speak to Bucciarati about their next course of action. Bucciarati infers that they can learn about the Boss on their island, counting on the fact that he didn't need to hide his identity back then. Trish thus mentions the Emerald Coast, the exact place where her mother met the Boss, giving the team a clue toward his identity.

Meanwhile, Giorno hears a faint creak coming from a cabinet. Suspicious, he tells Mista to ready his gun, to which Mista acts skeptical there could be any danger. Giorno opens the cabinet and sees that it is a mere fridge with ice cube trays. Thinking they were the source of the noise, Giorno apologizes but Mista then sees freshly cut fingers inside. The team is worried by the strange happenstance and thus, Bucciarati opens a zipper to throws the fridge out of the plane, confirming their safety. Giorno then spots numerous graffitis on the walls of the plane, only to realize they reflect his own thoughts, and eventually discovers that it is written that the previous assailant's Stand, Notorious B.I.G, is attacking them and consuming their flesh. Giorno finally notices that his whole right arm, which touched the enemy to check on him, is being consumed and turned into a mass of enemy flesh.

Tập tin:GW ep24 giorno cuts his own hand.png

He tries to chop it off, only for the flesh to react and attack Gold Experience. When Mista shoots off the infected arm, Giorno explains that their enemy has left behind his Stand to attack the team after his death. Indeed, four the of the Sex Pistols get consumed by the blob of flesh and Mista collapses to the ground. The enemy Stand then goes toward Narancia and likewise manages to grab on Aerosmith and wound Narancia. Bucciarati tells Trish to run, but the blob suddenly rushes toward Trish, causing Giorno to realize the Stand is reacting to movements. Using his remaining hand, Giorno pummels a window to bait the enemy onto it then cuts it off with the broken window shards, making the enemy fall from the plane.

Tập tin:NotoriousBrooch.jpg

Unfortunately, the enemy has still inflicted severe damage to the team, with Narancia and Mista being heavily wounded while Giorno has lost both hands, leaving him unable to use his powers again and heal the others. Shocked, Bucciarati can only contemplate the damage and bring his team to the cockpit to provide first aid. For her part, Trish remains alone in the cabin and thinks about her helplessness as everyone else is fighting to protect her. Suddenly, Trish realizes that Notorious B.I.G is still on the plane because it became the fastest object in the vicinity and thus it latched onto the vehicle. With the Stand forming right in front of her, Trish wants to take shelter but sees Giorno's brooch which is turning into a hand. Understanding that he made a backup hand, Trish mush now protect Giorno's hand somehow to give the team a chance.

Trivia[sửa]

  • In the original Japanese airing, the graffiti on the plane reads the enemy stand's name as "NOTORIUS B.I.G". In the Crunchyroll simulcast airing, it is transcribed as its localized name "NOTORIUS CHASE".
  • Consequentially, while the Japanese broadcast included subtitles translating the Italian writing along the wall, the text was left untranslated for the international cut.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep26 nbig v trish.png

Trapped in the cabin of a flying plane with Notorious B.I.G, Trish has noticed that Giorno's brooch is turning into a brand new hand that will allow him to regain his powers. However, the movement of the transformation is attracting the enemy Stand. As the plane approaches the Tyrrhenian Sea, Trish must now try to protect both the hand of Giorno and herself from Notorious B.I.G. Seeing that she can activate the reclining seats, she pushes the button causing a seat to automatically tilt and baits the Stand into attacking it. Using the distraction, Trish now approaches the hand but Notorious B.I.G then ignores the now broken seat to attack Trish' boot. Unfortunately, Trish has had some drink splashed onto her boot and Notorious B.I.G was attracted to the droplets.

Tập tin:Diamond IS breakable.png

Panicking, Trish begins to scream but the boot suddenly falls off her foot, saving her as Notorious B.I.G attacks it. She suddenly hears someone telling her to take the brooch slowly without wasting time and discovers a Stand beside her. The new Stand presents itself as Trish's own ability and tells Trish to command her. Heeding the ally Stand's advice, Trish takes the brooch and falls against a seat trying to avoid Notorious B.I.G, but suddenly falls over as the seat deforms. The ally Stand explains that the seat has been softened, incidentally making it able to resist Notorious B.I.G's tendril strike. Moreover, the snap-back of the seat sends the enemy Stand flying, causing a chunk of it to be cut when it collides with a seat.

The ally Stand explains that the determination Trish's acquired has led to its own appearance and the development of her ability when Notorious B.I.G suddenly comes back. Against the Stand's advice, Trish runs toward the closet. She is almost caught and Notorious B.I.G slips through the cracks, but her Stand then softens a nearby clock, using it as a bait. Taking a rod, Trish's Stand then drives it slowly into Notorious B.I.G, seemingly destroying it. The Stand then presents itself as Spice Girl.

Tập tin:NBIG fight.png

Trish then heads toward the cockpit and sees Bucciarati opening the door to check on her because of a light engine malfunction. Just as she tries to tell him about the hand, Bucciarati then nervously tells her to remain silent and slowly advance towards him. At the same time, the plane is rapidly losing altitude. Indeed, Notorious B.I.G has now grown to a humongous size, as a speck of it has reached the jet engines and begun absorbing the energy they released. Even if Bucciarati orders Abbacchio to perform an emergency landing, he has no hope of actually escaping Notorious B.I.G.

Trish suddenly runs toward the cockpit and pushes Bucciarati inside as she closes the door, attracting Notorious B.I.G. However, she then softens the walls of the cockpit, preventing the enemy Stand from breaking in. Then using Spice Girl to smash the cockpit apart from the plane, she turns it into a giant makeshift parachute, making it slower than a falling plane and thus luring Notorious B.I.G away from the team. The plane eventually explodes, taking out the enemy Stand.

Impressed by Trish's newfound power, the two men realize that the situation may have taken a turn for the best as the plane crash may convince Passione that they are dead. However, Bucciarati spots the last piece of Notorious B.I.G hanging on Abbacchio. Just like Giorno, Bucciarati lures it onto his arm by punching in the air with Sticky Fingers, and Spice then severs the arm, to Abbacchio's shock. Trish then finally reveals Giorno's new hand, allowing him to heal everyone. It is revealed that the mysterious case of a plane's theft and subsequent crash into the Tyrrhenian Sea remains a mystery and that since then, a monster is roaming in the waters of the sea.

Some time later, the Boss is investigating the rebellion, gathering dossiers about the rebels and trying to guess their whereabouts. Lamenting the dangers of the past, the Boss then notices that on a photo of Trish's home there is a portrait of Donatella Una dating from when he had met her, 15 years ago on the Costa Smeralda of Sardinia. Realizing that there is a clue to his past, the Boss becomes enraged and fearful as the rebels will eventually trace him thanks to Trish's knowledge and Abbacchio's Moody Blues. With such stakes, the Boss decides to personally head for Sardinia. Incidentally, a maid enters the room to clean it but before she can realize it, the Boss disappears with all the dossiers he's gathered. Puzzled, the maid decides to forget about it and starts to clean the room.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep26 baby.png

The story jumps back to the past, in 1965 in an all-female prison. Despite the fact that all the prisoners and guards were women, one of the inmates who was on her second year of prison inexplicably gave birth to a baby boy. The woman who gave birth claimed she had gotten pregnant 2 years prior. A priest from the mother's hometown kindly adopted the baby and raised him. The infant grew and came to be known as a cowardly and clumsy but well-meaning boy who wanted to become a Sailor. In 1985 when the boy was 19, he then met a young girl, Donatella Una. The priest then saw the couple having a date in the Costa Smeralda and decided to build a garage for his foster son. However, when he tried to dig inside his son's room, he found the young man's mother, who was buried beneath the floor, her mouth sewn shut but kept alive. But, the young boy surprised the priest. That night, the whole village burned to the ground, causing several casualties and disappearances; among the listed death were the priest and the boy.

Tập tin:DoppioAnimeFull.jpg

Back to the present on the island of Sardinia; a random boy tries to catch a beetle but in pursuing it, strays into the road and in the path of a speeding truck. A peculiar teenager then dashes toward the kid, trying to save him. However, the boy gets out of the way while it is the youth who almost gets run over, getting his suitcase crushed in the incident. Lamenting his bad luck, he then meets a fortune teller having set up shop in an alley. The fortune teller gets interested in the teenager and asks to look for his fortune but the latter politely declines only for the fortune teller to try to prove his talent by claiming that the teenager is native of the island and that it has been a long time since his last stay. Although the teenager is skeptical about the fortune teller, the latter keeps guessing more details about his life, eventually claiming that he has a dark secret and that he somehow has a teenage daughter he seeks. Getting excited, the fortune teller harasses the teen to get him to show him his palm and even proposes to pay, startling him until the teen snaps.

Suddenly, losing control, the youth grabs the fortune teller by the throat and disturbingly grows into a grown man: the Boss of Passione himself. The Boss realizes that the fortune teller is not a Stand User, but his talent represents a potential danger for his identity. Although he sentences the fortune teller to death, he also gets him to divine Risotto Nero's whereabouts, to which the fortune teller tells him that he is close and will seek revenge. Satisfied, the Boss lets the fortune teller lose his mind and finishes him off with a lethal punch from King Crimson. Incidentally, the boy from earlier has partially witnessed the murder but thankfully, it is the youth go gets out of the alley, having forgotten the incident already. Taking a taxi to the Costa Smeralda; the teen incidentally comes close to Risotto Nero himself.

Arriving near the picturesque Costa Smeralda, the teenage boy is unfortunately victim of a scam from the driver's part, who eventually manhandles him to get more money from an envelope. Again the teen goes berserk and almost gouges out the driver's eye because said envelope contains a photo of Donatella Una. However, he then hears a "call" from the Boss, mistaking a decorative figure for a phone, and proceeds to talk to himself. The Boss dissuades his host, whose name is revealed to be Doppio, to cause more trouble than it's worth, letting the taxi driver flee, and then warns him that the enemy is already here: the assassin Risotto Nero can be seen up the rocky hills watching him.

Tập tin:GW ep26 risotto.png

Although the Boss warns Doppio that Risotto must be eliminated and that his powers are unknown, the teen proceeds to forget everything once the Boss hangs up. Trying to gather his items, Doppio suddenly notices Risotto Nero posing near him and throwing a knife at his feet. Startled, Doppio trips and crashes into a rock while Risotto has disappeared. When Risotto reappears, Doppio tries to play the part of a tourist, causing the assassin to carefully judge the situation and gauge Doppio's dangerousness. However, just before Risotto approaches to take his knife and enters King Crimson's lethal range, he then notices that Doppio is trying to hide an envelope from him and orders him to show it to him. Doppio successfully hides Donatella's photo beneath his shoe but makes the mistake of glancing over the direction of a distant rumbling noise. Risotto picks on the clue and sees that the teen could detect the noise that Aerosmith was causing, outing him as a Stand User. Risotto realizes that the teen represents a crucial mystery due to his status as one that the Boss trusts and his apparent wimpiness. When Doppio gets angry and starts to change, his metamorphosis is interrupted as a handful of razor blades appear in his stomach, forcing him to vomit them out before they kill him. Intrigued, Risotto Nero decides to execute the teen here and there.

Furious, Doppio runs at Risotto in order to get into range, but the assassin guesses that his Stand ability is short-ranged and makes nails appears in Doppio's cheek to stop him; Risotto then disappears among the rocks. The Boss thus calls Doppio, who grabs a frog and uses it as a phone. Telling his subordinate to get close to the assassin, he then reassures him and reminds him that he can wield a part of his King Crimson.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:Pfp.png

The sole survivor of La Squadra Esecuzioni, Risotto Nero, is now confronting Vinegar Doppio, who is secretly the unwitting host of the Boss, though believed to be his trusted subordinate instead. Wanting Doppio to get close to Risotto Nero to kill the assassin, the Boss has granted Doppio with a portion of his Stand, the sub-Stand Epitaph responsible for seeing into the future and the arms of King Crimson.

Tập tin:RisottosSeveredFoot.png

Doppio thus forecasts the future and sees that Risotto will approach him, somehow camouflaged among the rocks. More alarmingly, a pair of scissors will appear in his throat. Wanting to prevent this, Doppio runs toward Risotto's future location and tries to attack but misses the assassin. Risotto notices Doppio's unusual ability and does make the scissors appear and opens them to cut out his throat. However, Doppio immediately pulls the scissors through the skin, saving himself while the assassin is intrigued by Doppio's quick reaction. Noting that Doppio can predict attacks, Risotto vows to make his next attack a sure kill and disappears before Doppio can punch him with King Crimson. Already drained, Doppio then foresees a pair of scissors and a severed foot flying. Anticipating the worst, Doppio calls the Boss and reveals that he may lose his foot soon. The Boss thus orders Doppio to retreat immediately, but Doppio is too weak to run, Risotto's methodical strategy ensuring that his targets will always be at their weakest. As the Boss himself becomes worried at the risk his host faces, Doppio sees razor blades emerging from a frog and realizes that the objects Risotto makes appear are made out of the iron within all organisms. Using the frog as a clue, Doppio guesses Risotto's position and throws the scissors with King Crimson, severing the assassin's foot. The forecast was in truth showing Risotto's severed foot.

Risotto's power of magnetism is revealed and the assassin is now on the ground. The Boss thus wishes to come out and personally execute Risotto but is interrupted by the sight of Risotto's foot flying right back at its owner and metal staples appearing to stitch the foot and ankle together. Incidentally, the worms-like Stand of Risotto, Metallica, briefly appears from the wound. Risotto realizes that Doppio is directly connected to the Boss and hides his true nature. Standing up and hiding again thanks to the particles of iron to camouflage himself, Risotto swears revenge for his fallen comrades and prepares to attack again.

Tập tin:GW ep27 risotto winning.png

Doppio foresees iron knives flying toward but fails to deflects them because of his weakened state. Harrassing Doppio time and time again, Risotto explains that he is already done for because he's extracted so much iron from his body that he now lacks the hemoglobin needed to carry oxygen to the organs; in a few minutes Doppio will die regardless. Meanwhile, Bucciarati, Narancia and Abbacchio have revealed themselves near the Costa Smeralda, making the Boss urge Doppio to finish him off. But things seem hopeless as Doppio foresees Risotto disappearing and his own head being blown off. The forecasted vision begins and Risotto disappears. Grabbing one of the knives, Doppio is told to stand down so that the Boss can erase the predicted timeframe. However, Doppio notes that the Boss won't make it in time but uses the scalpel as a compass needle indicating the direction Risotto is in. Throwing the knives, Doppio completely misses, having been baited into attacking Risotto's severed foot instead. Making a huge razor blade appear and slice into Doppio's forehead, Risotto prepares to finish off his foe whom he's already guessed is the Boss sharing a body with a split personality.

Tập tin:GW ep27 risotto losing.png

Suddenly, Risotto is shot down from behind by Aerosmith. It is now The Boss' turn to explain his plan: knowing he couldn't do anything against Risotto by himself, he purposefully told Doppio to throw the knives in the direction of Team Bucciarati to grab their attention; they would then use Aerosmith whose CO2 radar would only detect Risotto, Doppio being hidden by his inability to breathe properly.

After Risotto was knocked down by Aerosmith, The Boss came close and asked Risotto to give him back the iron that Risotto has stole from his body. Risotto asked Boss to show his face but Boss refused. With his last breaths, Risotto grabbed the Boss with the intention of using Aerosmith to kill him. However, the Boss simply used King Crimson's ability and blew away half a second, which just results of the bullets hitting Risotto. After half a second has passed, Risotto died because of Aerosmith's bullets.

Summary[sửa]

After a gruesome battle, the Boss has outsmarted Risotto Nero and has had him shot by Aerosmith. On the beach, Team Bucciarati notes that their enemy is down and discusses what to do next. Bucciarati orders Abbacchio to replay the past to uncover the Boss' face as soon as possible, but Abbacchio reminds him of Carne and Notorious B.I.G, highlighting the need to confirm the identity of the enemy. Thus, Bucciarati and Narancia leave to check the dying enemy while Giorno and Mista remain to guard Abbacchio and the turtle.

Tập tin:GW ep28 risotto death.png
The Boss narrowly avoids being shot by Risotto by erasing time

Up the cliffs, Aerosmith flies past the dying Risotto, who is heavily bleeding and on the ground. The Boss fully manifests himself but the blinding sun hides his features. Congratulating Risotto on his ability, the Boss demands him to return the iron back to his body. In exchange, he will finish him off and spare him the humiliation of being seen by Bucciarati in this sorry state. Risotto whispers something, causing the Boss to lean forward but the assassin suddenly grabs him. Still defiant, Risotto attempts to kill the Boss with him. Thanks to the sprayed blood, Metallica has stuck to Aerosmith and now manipulates the plane to Risotto's advantage. It fires at the Boss from behind but King Crimson then erases time for half a second, letting the bullets fly past him and hit Risotto in the face, killing the assassin for good.

Nonetheless, the Boss remains in deep trouble: his anemic body starts to fail him as Bucciarati approaches. The Boss crawls toward the rocks and starts eating the wildlife to replenish his iron supply while Bucciarati and Narancia arrive to see Risotto's body. However, Bucciarati notices the severed foot and guesses that the assassin was fighting someone else; he thus orders Narancia to increase his radar's sensibility to search for the hidden foe. Despite detecting hundred of sources coming from the surrounding wildlife and tourists nearby, Bucciarati and Narancia find a suspicious source slowly but surely going away from them. Meanwhile, Giorno and Mista stand guard from a vantage point and see that Abbacchio has reached the month Donatella Una's photo was taken.

Following the source, Bucciarati and Narancia see a large blood trail and surround their target's likely hiding spot. Bucciarati takes the time to announce himself and ask for the man hiding behind the rocks to come out, subsequently splitting the rock with Sticky Fingers to uncover his target. To their shock Bucciarati and Narancia discover a boy, his mouth sewn shut and his face pale as if he's been drained of his blood. Meanwhile, Abbacchio incidentally confronts a group of children whose ball is stuck up a tree.

Tập tin:Leone's death3.jpg
Abbacchio, moments after the Boss fatally wounds him.

Seeing Moody Blues being busy rewinding time, Abbacchio knocks the ball down the tree for the children. The children thank Abbacchio and take their leave, but then King Crimson punches through Abbacchio's chest, killing him on the spot. The Boss, hidden among the kids, has eliminated Abbacchio, leaving him to die as Moody Blues begins to crumble apart.

Abbacchio sits at a table and enjoys a quiet lunch, but then hears clinking glass. Discovering a policeman gathering the fragments of a broken bottle, Abbacchio asks him what he is doing to which the man explains that the fragments could solve a mugging case. As the policeman steadfastly searches for fingerprints, Abbacchio asks why he keeps working considering the corruption of the law in Italy. The cop thus explains that he is not looking for results as this mindset leads to corruption, but is maintaining his will to seek the truth, believing in an eventual good end. In turn, Abbacchio confesses that he envies the policeman's resolve and says that he lost his will. Revealing that he knows Abbacchio, the policeman assures him that he has gained this resolve back. Startled, Abbacchio starts to remember the policeman and more importantly that his team needs him. But, realizing that the man he's speaking to is his former partner who died on patrol, Abbacchio understands that he is dead.

Tập tin:The Boss Face.png
Using the last of his strength, Abbacchio uses Moody Blues to smask a death mask of the Boss's face into the stele.

Back to the Costa Smeralda, the whole team is shaken by Abbacchio's death. Unable to accept the truth, Narancia demands that Giorno heals him but it is too late. Bucciarati then orders the team to prepare to leave, as the beach now has no interest for them, causing Narancia to become angry at everyone's coldness. As Giorno tries to reason Narancia, the latter knocks him

Suddenly, Giorno spots a suspicious piece of rock in Abbacchio's hand and turns it into a ladybird with Gold Experience, leading them to the stele and a negative of the Boss' face and fingerprints. Summary[sửa]

Having made a mold of the Boss' face and fingerprints from the negatives left by Abbacchio, Team Bucciarati leaves the beach while Giorno begins researching the fingerprints. Although Trish realizes that the Boss was nearby, Bucciarati is against seeking him at the moment; new enemies must be gathering and they still aren't certain of the Boss' identity. However, the team's efforts to investigate all possible databases of fingerprints - from criminal records to death records - come up empty.

Tập tin:GW ep29 a new ally.png

Suddenly, someone directly calls the team through the laptop, declaring that they're allies both trying to defeat the Boss of Passione: Diavolo. After proving that they are actually working against Diavolo, the caller invites Team Bucciarati to meet in Rome, showing a picture of the Arrow and claiming that there is another hidden potential that can be acquired, the likes of which could defeat King Crimson. While suspicious of the offer, Bucciarati accepts the deal and the team leaves Sardegna on boat. However, Diavolo has been observing the team from afar and correctly guesses that they are up to something. He orders Doppio to pursue the rogue Passione members and to call in his organization's most dangerous and depraved Stand Users: Cioccolata and Secco.

Tập tin:Stand history 1.png

Meanwhile, Team Bucciarati's mysterious ally explains the origin of the Arrows; the items are made from a meteorite that crashed in Greenland, which was rediscovered in 1987 by a team of surveyors. The surveyors all fell ill and died, but one developed extrasensorial powers in the process. In truth, a virus contained in the meteorite is infecting people; somehow, it makes those who survive it into Stand Users. The Arrows were created long ago to proliferate Stands in the world, but the caller refuses to elaborate on their "hidden potential" until the team meets them in person. When Bucciarati asks where they should meet precisely, the caller instructs them to go to the Colosseum in Rome.

Tập tin:GW ep29 mold.png

Night has fallen as Team Bucciarati arrives at a small coastal village near Rome; Mista and Narancia go on the lookout while everyone else remains inside Coco Jumbo. Soon, the drunkards on the seaside promenade are affected by a strange substance eating at their body. Seeing the grey goo eating at all the people nearby, Mista understands that they are under attack. However, when he draws his gun, he realizes his hand has been somehow infected. Unbeknownst to the Team, Cioccolata and Secco are filming them from a vantage point. Cioccolata has just deployed his Stand, Green Day, which spreads a sinister miasma in the air.

A flashback reveals that Cioccolata, age 34, is a murderous former surgeon. In his youth, he tortured the residents of a retirement home; as an adult, he became a doctor in order to murder his patients under the guise of medical malpractice. His only goal is to observe the death and suffering of others, which he records on tapes to peruse later. On the other hand, Secco is one of Cioccolata's former patients, who became his human pet for unknown reasons. The two currently form an exceptionally deadly team within Passione. In the present, Doppio has boarded a plane toward Rome, being instructed to rein in the two psychopaths before they cause too much damage.

Meanwhile, Team Bucciarati realizes that the whole village is being devoured by a strange mold. Unable to detect the enemy, Narancia decides to retreat; the moment he jumps into the boat, mold appears all over his body and Coco Jumbo. As the mold spreads to Giorno and Trish, the former guesses that the Stand attack is triggered by downward movement, being inspired by existing types of mold that specifically prefer low altitudes to disperse their spores.  Giorno theorizes that the enemy Stand has a constantly-expanding range, using its victims as vectors for the mold's spread.

Tập tin:Green Day & Oasis fght.png

With his whole body decomposing rapidly, Narancia tries to throw Coco Jumbo back to Mista; unfortunately, his hand falls apart mid-throw. Thinking quickly, Mista shoots the boat's engine to make it explode, sending Narancia and the turtle up to the shore and saving the team. Bucciarati gets out to replace the wounded Narancia, sending him to the turtle to be treated by Giorno. Deciding that the priority is to reach Rome, Bucciarati and Mista choose to ascend some stairs to reach a parking lot.

Seeing the team having survived their ordeal, Cioccolata is somewhat impressed.

Mista has managed to save the entire team from being preemptively consumed by Green Day's mold. Everyone is thrown up to the shore and Bucciarati replaces Narancia as protector. Meanwhile, Cioccolata has taken the measure of Team Bucciarati. Praising Secco for having perfectly captured their looks of despair, Cioccolata rewards his pet with treats, Secco then showing his speed and expertise with spitting to catch them. The mad doctor then sics Secco and his Stand, Oasis, on Team Bucciarati.

Mista and Bucciarati opt to steal a car and leave the village by ascending nearby stairs to a parking lot, while Giorno heals Narancia the best he can inside Coco Jumbo. When Narancia hears Trish complain that Bucciarati coldly ordered him to just throw the turtle, he argues that he knew he'd be risking his life and that Trish ought to get to know Bucciarati better. Narancia finally cuts the discussion short and decides to rest.

Tập tin:GW ep30 bruno stuck.png

Bucciarati and Mista begin their ascension of the stairs and already plan to go up the mountainside road to safety. However, a pack of beer cans belonging to a victim roll down the stairs and suspiciously disappear. Realizing that there's something going on besides the mold, Bucciarati orders Mista to rush up the stairs, but the stairs then begin to wholly sink into the ground. Moreover, the stone itself takes on the properties of mud while remaining hard; Mista's gun falls and sinks into the stone while Bucciarati's legs have sunk too. As Secco approaches, Mista fortunately manages to recall his gun to his side and destroys a road sign, allowing the two to climb to the parking lot, but Secco is still pursuing them from underground.

Mista tries to hold off Secco, using the exact moment the enemy grabs him to shoot him. However, Secco spits rocks to deflect the first bullets at Mista and dives before the bullets ridden by Sex Pistols can touch him. Having wounded Mista, Secco now focuses on Bucciarati. But suddenly, Bucciarati rushes to the edge of the parking lot and jumps down, shocking Mista. Exploiting Secco's inability to actually see, Bucciarati ambushes his foe in the wall and pummels him with Sticky Fingers. Taken by surprise, Secco crushes the concrete and obliges Bucciarati to counter the debris while he retreats undeground. Shocked that Bucciarati wasn't infected by the mold, Secco immediately calls Cioccolata to confirm if Green Day works on an already dead thing and explains that Bucciarati felt like a moving corpse, confusing Cioccolata. For their part, Team Bucciarati have already driven far away to Rome.

Tập tin:Giorno questions.png

In the car, Mista is impressed by Bucciarati's unexplained success but doesn't press further and goes to sleep to rest. Having exited Coco Jumbo, Giorno tries to heal Bucciarati but realizes that Bucciarati is now a walking corpse who doesn't feel his wounds, and whose senses are beginning to go numb. Bucciarati knows too but prefers to see it as a favor from the heavens and an aftereffect of Gold Experience. Bucciarati finally asks a confused Giorno to keep his state a secret from the team.

Suddenly, the two notice a rumbling noise that's catching up to them. Suddenly, a mold infested corpse falls into the windshield. They realize that Cioccolata is flying in a helicopter above them and exposed them to the mold just as soon as the Coliseum is in sight. As the road is sloping down, the team must perform an emergency exit of the car. After they recover, they see the wind from the helicopter spreading the mold to the population and a whole crowd of civilians nearby is beginning to be infected, which shocks everyone and angers Giorno. Furthermore, the man in the Coliseum may die if the mold keeps spreading in Rome.

Tập tin:GW ep30 final shot.png

Bucciarati orders Mista to shoot at the helicopter, but Secco deflects the bullets and dives underground. As Secco approaches, Mista and Giorno combine their Stand powers to shoot at a tower near the helicopter and make trees grow out of the bullets, to catch the helicopter that was quickly heading out of the bullets' reach. Cioccolata is now trapped at the top of the tower. Thus, Giorno and Mista run up the hill to the tower to stop Cioccolata, while Bucciarati remains to confront Secco, who has a score to settle with him.

Summary[sửa]

With Cioccolata's helicopter trapped atop a tower, Giorno and Mista run to confront him while Bucciarati deals with Secco.

Tập tin:GW ep31 secco v bruno.png

Still angry for having been tricked back at the coastal village, Secco threatens and insults Bucciarati, who has to correct him on the exact terms of the insult. Secco suddenly remembers he has to prop up his camera, prompting Bucciarati to attack with Sticky Fingers; however, Secco outpaces Sticky Fingers and kicks Bucciarati in the chin. Realizing that Secco is faster and stronger than even Sticky Fingers, Bucciarati cuts up a large piece of the concrete and escapes to the streets below before he's overwhelmed. As the mold has no effect on Bucciarati, Secco decides to simply beat him into a pulp with the power of Oasis.

Tập tin:GW ep31 sex pistols defeated.png

Atop the tower, Cioccolata sees Giorno and Mista coming for him. Mista shoots five bullets towards the helicopter with Sex Pistols, but they then notice that the helicopter is seemingly empty. The bullets crash inside the helicopter and No.1 commands the others to search the place; suddenly, No.2 and No.3 are cut down, shortly followed by No.6 and No.7. Mista is heavily damaged by the loss of his Pistols while Giorno and No.5 still do not know what happened inside the helicopter; the latter wishes to go in, but Giorno reminds him that he is the only one keeping Mista alive now.

To rescue the rest of Sex Pistols, Giorno climbs up to fight Cioccolata personally; Mista commands No.5 to take a bullet and accompany Giorno. Giorno reaches the helicopter and touches the hull, sensing signs of life within but without a precise location. A punch from Gold Experience makes trees erupt throughout the helicopter, but there is no sign of Cioccolata. Climbing up to the front windows, Giorno sees a variety of bloody medical tools inside; he also notes that the catastrophes caused by the mold have almost reached the Colosseum.

Giorno then sees a heavily injured No.1 and leans forward to take it, but Cioccolata suddenly appears and attacks. Gold Experience counters the first punch, revealing that the former surgeon is nothing but a partial torso with one arm; he quickly dismembers himself even further to escape the punch. Cioccolata reveals that his surgical expertise allows him to rapidly and precisely dismember himself, using Green Day's mold to both animate the severed parts and prevent him from bleeding out. His disembodied left arm ambushes Giorno,

Tập tin:GW ep31 cioccolata shot.png

almost knocking him out of the helicopter, but the golden-haired gangster catches himself on the wall just in time.

Cioccolata reassembles his body with some quick stitchwork, expressing his twisted views on increasing curiosity as Green Day pummels Giorno right out of the helicopter. Before he can fall, No.5 kicks Mista's bullet through Giorno's hand, allowing it to grow into a tree branch that saves Giorno and gives him a path back to the helicopter. In turn, Cioccolata tilts the helicopter forward to make the branch drop, causing it to be consumed by Green Day's mold. Despite Giorno's best efforts, the branch falls apart beneath his feet, sending him plummeting towards the ground as the mold covers his body. An ecstatic Cioccolata leans out of the helicopter to enjoy the sight of Giorno's despair. However, Giorno kicks part of the branch into the helicopter's propeller, causing it to revert to a bullet which promptly shoots through Cioccolata's head.

Tập tin:Muda 5.png

The mad doctor collapses on the tree below, seemingly dead, while Giorno catches the edge of the roof and laboriously climbs up. No.5 tells Giorno to heal the wounded Mista, but Giorno suspects that Cioccolata is only playing dead. Vocally predicting Cioccolata's escape plan, Giorno admits that he is wounded but assures him that Gold Experience can still kill him. He offers to show mercy if Cioccolata stays immobile; when there is no answer, he jumps up to the roof proper. Cioccolata immediately awakens and taunts Giorno, revealing that he has detached his left arm and sent it to choke Mista. Declaring his victory, Cioccolata prepares to finish off the gunman when a stag beetle suddenly bursts out of his head.

Giorno admits that he was buying time with his talk, but not for Cioccolata's benefit; instead, he was waiting for Gold Experience's power to transform the bullet he shot into his enemy's head. Once it finished its evolution, the bullet-turned-beetle chewed its way through Cioccolata's brain, leaving him mortally wounded. When a stunned Cioccolata tries to invoke Giorno's deal, the latter simply declares that he was lying; a man like Cioccolata never deserved his mercy. As Cioccolata tries a desperate last attack, Gold Experience delivers a lengthy and vicious beatdown, ultimately sending the mad surgeon into a garbage truck which crushes him. Victorious, Giorno now can turn his worries toward Bucciarati and Secco. He then sees a mobile phone and realizes that Cioccolata has contacted his pet.

Tập tin:Polnareff part 5.png

While hiding underground, Secco receives a message on his phone; Cioccolata first reports that he will soon take care of the two enemies coming for him, promises more treats to his pet and declares that he will surpass the Boss shortly. Greatly motivated by this news, Secco reemerges to confront Bucciarati, already exhausted from the battle. Unbeknownst to Bucciarati, the man in the Coliseum is already observing him through binoculars.

Summary[sửa]

A recap of the last episode shows the beginning of the fight between Bucciarati and Secco. Realizing that he's outmatched, Bucciarati decides to perform a tactical retreat.

Tập tin:GW ep29 secco sneering.png

Cioccolata has been defeated by Mista and Giorno, but Bucciarati is still pursued by Secco in the streets of Rome. As Secco emerges from the ground, ready to ambush Bucciarati, both Stand Users notice that the effect of the mold has dissipated. Anxious, Secco opens his second voicemail and learns that Cioccolata has encountered unexpected trouble. Whispering on the phone after taking a bullet to the head, Cioccolata informs his pet that he's learned from Sex Pistols that the group is meeting someone at the Colosseum. Just in case he dies, Cioccolata finally commands Secco to head to the monument and obtain the secret Team Bucciarati is after. Secco realizes that Cioccolata has died... and proceeds to sneer at his former master. He destroys his phone and camera, calling Cioccolata weak and revealing that he only followed him because he gave him money and treats. However, Secco is more than happy to take for himself what Bucciarati is after.

Realising that Secco is headed for the Colosseum now, Bucciarati throws a zipped post into a stela near Secco, threatening to close it on him like a jawed trap. Secco nonchalantly kicks the stela and turns Bucciarati's trap against him; Bucciarati is almost decapitated but Sticky Fingers then breaks it to cancel the trap. Secco suddenly leaps forward to chop off Bucciarati's legs, but the latter uses the pole to get out of the muddy ground then tries to kick him. Secco avoids the blow only for Bucciarati to cut his pole in two to impale Secco with it. Nonetheless, Secco swiftly deflects the pole and kicks Bucciarati into a building, breaking the window of a cafe. As Secco approaches Bucciarati, both Stand Users see a faint glint coming from the Colosseum, confirming that someone is hiding in there. It is the mysterious ally, a wheelchair-bound man with binoculars who quickly retreats to the shadows. Happy to see his goal in front of him, Secco rushes to finish off Bucciarati once and for all, but then Bucciarati hides behind a large shard of smoked glass and disappears just in time to avoid Secco's punch.

Tập tin:GW ep32 bruno underground.png

Secco sees the zipper on the ground and understands that Bucciarati is going to the Coliseum from under the ground. Secco gets angry over Bucciarati copying his fighting style and then wastes precious seconds thinking that Bucciarati must resurface to inhale fresh air, only to realize that as a corpse, Bucciarati doesn't need to breathe either. Zipping the soil apart, Bucciarati has already gotten a comfortable advance on Secco, but the latter then dives in the ground, hell-bent on showing his mastery of underground battle. Secco liquefies the soil to better hear the noise Bucciarati is making while he swims faster than Bucciarati can actually move. Secco detects a sound source which is revealed to be a broken water pipe when he attacks it. However, Secco knows that Bucciarati is probably standing still near him and devises a cruel plan to root him out. Munching the stone to liquefy it, Secco then spits it with high force in the air so that the now hardened stone forms a rain of spikes that actually hit Bucciarati. The team leader's corpse is pierced in several spots and he realizes that he is trapped. Meanwhile, the man in the Coliseum is revealed to be none other than Jean Pierre Polnareff, who obtained his Arrow fourteen years ago, during his departure from Egypt after Jotaro Kujo's battle with DIO. Polnareff realizes that if Bucciarati doesn't arrive shortly, then he must destroy the Arrow; knowing about Team Bucciarati's history, Polnareff hopes for Bucciarati's victory and for the time being vows to protect the Arrow at all costs.

Tập tin:Part 5 polnareff.png

Meanwhile, Bucciarati is still harrassed by Secco's spikes. Feeling some approaching his head, he has no choice but to make Sticky Fingers deflect them, causing the sound Secco was waiting for. Bucciarati tries to escape but hears Secco approaching. Detecting several sources, Secco realizes that Bucciarati has cut a lamp post to slow him down but is supremely confident that Bucciarati is cornered. In fact, Bucciarati notices that his own body is beginning to turn into mush because of his proximity to Secco, and his finger snaps as he tries to put his hand on his face. Alerted by the sound, Secco then throws a powerful punch, causing a shockwave that sinks a section of the Coliseum and a car into the ground. Secco is now up close and tries to punch Bucciarati, who then punches the car's tire, making it burst. The noise created by the explosion of the tire reaches Bucciarati and Secco, but while Bucciarati doesn't mind to have his eardrums destroyed since he's a corpse, Secco loses his essential hearing.

Tập tin:GW ep32 doppio hostage.png

Completely disoriented, Secco attempts a blind kick but resurfaces his leg which gets crushed by a passing car. Bucciarati also resurfaces to knock out a panicking Secco but the Passione operative then takes a random boy hostage, which is shown to be Doppio. Secco orders Doppio to call for a taxi so that he can leave but Bucciarati advances and, before Secco can liquefy Doppio, punches Secco through Doppio with Sticky Fingers and attaches his arm to his chest. Panicking, Secco then trips into the same garbage truck that Cioccolata was launched into, dooming them both to be incinerated at the local garbage-processing plant. For his part, Doppio has already forecasted everything and watches events unfold as they should. Doppio gathers his belongings while he notes that Cioccolata and Secco have been defeated too. Bucciarati, meanwhile, falls to the ground, his body starting to decompose. As Bucciarati realizes that his life may be coming to its long-delayed end, Doppio approaches him to deal a finishing blow.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep33 soul trickery.png

Bucciarati has collapsed on the ground just in front of the Colosseum; his body seems to have reached its limits following his victory over Secco. Doppio stands just behind him but stays his hand. Instead, he persuades Bucciarati to help him reach his destination, planning to find out what the rogue capo is after. Doppio then discovers Bucciaratio's condition and that he's gone blind yet can see a hidden wound on his neck. An intrigued Doppio reflects on Bucciarati's strange condition as he helps him cross the street, but his thoughts are interrupted when he sees Mista coming around the corner. Doppio immediately hides both himself and Bucciarati behind a pillar. Doppio is cornered and almost kills Bucciarati but Diavolo intervenes. Explaining to his subordinate that Bucciarati is now a corpse that can only see spirits, Diavolo exposes some of his spirit, not only fooling Bucciarati into thinking Doppio is Trish, but also causing his daughter to alert Mista, clearing the way to the monument.

As they move through the Colosseum, Bucciarati promises "Trish" that she can live in his house and enjoy a decent life once their battle is over. However, Diavolo suddenly warns Doppio that they are watched. Polnareff makes himself known, ordering the pair to stand still but becomes suspicious of Doppio, whom he doesn't know. Doppio's attempt to make himself look reliable is foiled when Polnareff asks "Trish" to show her Stand without approaching him; Diavolo realizes that he's dealing with an experienced fighter. When Diavolo sees the Arrow on Polnareff's lap and Polnareff senses Diavolo's killing intent, the two recognize each other and reminisce the past.

Tập tin:GW ep33 pol v kc.png

In a flashback to 1986, Diavolo discovered six Stand Arrows while working part-time for an excavation team in Egypt. Discovering their ability, he sold five to Enya the Hag and kept one for himself. In the 90s, Jotaro Kujo and Jean Pierre Polnareff learned of the Arrows and began to investigate them. Polnareff eventually went on his own in Italy but his investigations caught the attention of Diavolo. Passione had agents everywhere and successfully isolated Polnareff, allowing Diavolo to confront him, easily beat and cripple him before sending off a cliff and leave him for dead.

Tập tin:PrettyDiavolo.png

Bucciarati and Polnareff suddenly notice that "Trish" has disappeared and objects have been suddenly displaced. Somewhere else in the Colosseum, Giorno, Mista and Trish also realize the time skip. Worried Polnareff tries to flee but Doppio intercepts his path, ominously advancing up the stairs below him. Declaring that the events of this night will be a trial for him to stay at the top, Diavolo finally emerges from Doppio and confronts Polnareff.

Tập tin:Diavolo notices Requiem.png

Curious about the Arrow, Diavolo engages Polnareff, erasing time and avoiding a slash from Silver Chariot. Praising Polnareff's capabilities, Diavolo erases time again but then realizes that Silver Chariot has been pierced with the Arrow ; Silver Chariot undergoes a dramatic transformation as Polnareff enacts a desperate gambit to protect the Arrow but Diavolo then kills Polnareff easily. Reminiscing about the great adventures he had with the Joestar Group, Polnareff breathes his last. Still perplexed, Diavolo seizes the discarded Arrow. From his vantage point, he sees them joining up with Bucciarati and plans to deal with them, but he suddenly senses another presence: a stranger clad in black has appeared before him, slowly walking away. As he demands to know who the newcomer is, an Arrow-shaped marking is shown on its neck.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep34 diavolo sleeps.png

Diavolo has taken the Arrow for himself but suddenly, a new person entirely clad in black appears in front of him, walking away. Although Diavolo orders them to stop and say who they are, he inadvertently drops the Arrow and begins to fall asleep against his will. Likewise, Giorno, Mista, Trish, Coco Jumbo and the entirety of Rome including all animals are put to sleep. Meanwhile, the new being proceeds to descend the stairs of the Coliseum to the ground level.

Time passes and the sky lights up for dawn. Giorno and Trish slowly awake and realize that it is nearly dawn, meaning they've just slept through the night. Giorno then realizes that his hands are bleeding, prompting Trish to run to cover and grab both Coco Jumbo and Mista's gun while calling Giorno out to her. Confusion ensues as Giorno calls himself, and Trish then is suprised by her body. As Mista and Narancia wake up, the group understands that their souls have swapped between bodies.

Tập tin:GW ep34 switch.png

Mista has switched with Trish while Giorno has switched with Narancia. Giorno tries to analyze the situation as the body swap doesn't look like an attack. For her part, Trish takes the situation particularly badly, being disgusted by Mista's body and being embarrassed that Mista is in hers. Narancia worries about Bucciarati lying on the ground but is told to stay away as Bucciarati must have been swapped and the whereabouts of the Boss and their contacts are unknown. Surprisingly, the group then discovers that their Stands have been empowered to some degree which puzzles Giorno even more. Discovering the state of Rome, the group then ponder who is inside of Bucciarati as Trish notices that she cannot sense her father anymore.

Tập tin:GW ep34 polnareff turtle.png

Suddenly, Coco Jumbo itself starts to speak. Indeed, Jean Pierre Polnareff's soul has been put inside the turtle. Explaining the circumstances of his demise, Polnareff then declares that this body swap was caused by the new Silver Chariot, Chariot Requiem. The turtle then narrates an incident during which he accidentally pricked Silver Chariot with the Arrow, causing a similar switching of souls then stopping it by taking the Arrow from his Stand's hands; as such, the group may unlock a formidable ability on par with Chariot Requiem's soul manipulation although it requires them to bypass Chariot Requiem. Finally, Polnareff warns the team that Diavolo has somehow been working alongside a mysterious boy in spite of his mistrust.

Tập tin:GW ep34 bucciarati.png

Narancia suddenly notices someone coming from an entrance and sees that it is Diavolo himself. Positioning themselves into an ambush position, the group see "Diavolo" confronting Chariot Requiem. To their surprise, "Diavolo" summons Sticky Fingers to attack Chariot, cutting off the hand that was holding the Arrow. Bucciarati has swapped with Diavolo and is now in his body.

Summary[sửa]

The Arrow forces Sticky Fingers to prevent Bucciarati from taking it

Still under the influence of Chariot Requiem's soul switch, Team Bucciarati and Polnareff see Bucciarati, in the body of Diavolo, intercept Chariot Requiem and sever the hand holding the Arrow with Sticky Fingers. Impressed by their leader's initiative, the group now watches carefully for Bucciarati's body. However, when Bucciarati tries to grab the Arrow, Sticky Fingers comes up to attack its own user; when Mista intervenes, one of the Sex Pistols goes mad and tries to kill him, but Trish and Spice Girl soften the bullet. As Chariot Requiem reattaches its severed hand and resumes walking, the group realizes that it can turn Stands against their users when they attempt to grab the Arrow, making their goal of obtaining it much more difficult.

Tập tin:Giorno returning to his body.png
Giorno returns to his body after Narancia's untimely death

Sex Pistols then alerts the group: the person in Bucciarati's body has just woken up. Bucciarati thus orders Mista to shoot whoever it is. After a brief hesitation, Mista shoots and incapacitates Bucciarati's body. Meanwhile, Narancia allows himself to dream about the future. Out of bullets, Mista asks Trish to take some from his boot; but when Trish seemingly hesitates and Mista tells her to hurry, she points out that she already gave the bullets to him.

Seeing that the bullets fell to the floor without anyone noticing, Polnareff realizes that time has just skipped. Nervous, the group tries to seek how Diavolo could have approached the group undetected and suddenly realize, after seeing sudden droplets of blood, that Narancia has been impaled into metal bars right above the gang, one bar in particular fatally impaled through Giorno's head. The team desperately hurries to save their teammate, but it is too late to intervene-- despite healing his body, Giorno's soul can only return to it as Narancia was already dead, his soul having already passed on. As the group mourns Narancia, Fugo is shown in the streets of Naples realizing that something has gone wrong. Narancia's soul, taking the form of a sparrow (whose shadow appears as Aerosmith), soars into the clouds above the shore on which Abbacchio was killed and disappears.

Tập tin:Narancia rest.PNG
"We have to leave you here. So that no one can hurt you anymore... ever again. But I promise, I will take you back home."

Polnareff pieces the clues together and realizes the exact link between Diavolo and Doppio. Despite their grief, he warns the group that Diavolo and Doppio are split personalities - two souls sharing one body. While Requiem's ability has switched one soul with Bucciarati, Diavolo's soul must be lurking somewhere close inside someone. Narancia was the first victim because his radar could have easily detected Diavolo. Giorno promises Narancia he will bring him home and surrounds his corpse in flowers. Suddenly, Trish catches a glimpse of King Crimson in the shadows but doesn't notify the others.

As the group walks out into the streets of Rome, they see the chaos and confusion caused by Chariot Requiem's ability. A criminal in the body of a police officer tries to arrest Mista but gets shot for his trouble. The group catches up to Chariot Requiem, allowing Bucciarati to observe the rogue Stand thoroughly. Noting its apparent physical weakness, Bucciarati makes it trip and drop the Arrow. Giorno experiments with Requiem's protective ability and discovers that not only does Requiem use Stands against their own users, it also prevents non-living objects from touching the Arrow. Lacking a Stand, Polnareff grabs the Arrow with his mouth and tells Mista, the closest person to him, to use it on Sex Pistols. Suddenly, Chariot Requiem stands up and rushes toward Polnareff.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep36 doppio death.png
"I'm so lonely... could you call me again, like you always have, Boss...?"

In the Colosseum, it is revealed that Doppio was in Bucciarati's body all along. Having seen the body that Diavolo has gone into their souls were dragged out of their body, Doppio is confident that victory is guaranteed. Dying from his wounds, Doppio feels lonely and awaits a call from his Boss.

After Polnareff grabs the Arrow, Chariot Requiem spurs into action and rushes toward Coco Jumbo, leaving only Mista able to protect him. Mista draws his revolver but it has inexplicably broken. Fortunately, Mista draws another gun he's stolen from a policeman and shoots Chariot in the face, protecting Polnareff although Chariot Requiem retakes the Arrow. During the reprieve, Mista asks Sex Pistols why the cylinder broke, to which No.5 suggests that Diavolo may have broken it, which worries the group and the rest of Sex Pistols dismiss the idea. Chariot Requiem gets back up but still comes to attack Polnareff since he's touched and Arrow. Mista and Giorno cripple Chariot but it doggedly continues to pursue Mista and Polnareff. Mista tries to take refuge up a lamp post but one of Chariot Requiem's hands emerges from inside the post to touch Polnareff and it then inexplicably stops its attack.

Tập tin:GW ep36 polnareff mutation.png
An eldritch abomination begins to develop on Coco Jumbo's body due to the prolonged state of Chariot Requiem's Soul Manipulation

The team initially is confused by Chariot Requiem's erratic actions, but Polnareff finally realize Chariot Requiem's ultimate ability. It is revealed that another "thing" is growing out of Polnareff's turtle body and worse all manners of eldritch creatures start to emerge from other people, including the team. In reality, Chariot Requiem can switch souls with "something else" and Mista is particularly angered about what is happening to them, lashing out on Polnareff before Bucciarati calms him . Unbeknownst to the team, Diavolo's soul is near and has discovered the way to defeat Chariot Requiem. He thus patiently waits for Team Bucciarati to come close to it again.

Diavolo manipulates Trish's soul

However, Giorno suddenly shouts at the team to stop moving and stay away from each other. Giorno explains that he's examined Mista's discarded revolver and proves that it was sabotaged. Mista points out that nobody has approached them since the Colosseum, to which Giorno agrees, stating that Diavolo's soul must currently be in one of the teammates akin to a form of possession. Giorno explains that Diavolo must not be able to dominate his current host and it is shown that the Boss is pestered by Giorno who has accurately deduced his current state. To detect Diavolo, Giorno thus plans to use Gold Experience to sense how many souls there are in each of them, innocents Polnareff, and uses the Frenchman's dripping blood trick to detect any time erase. After a tense argument with Mista, Giorno approaches Bucciarati, letting blood drop on his hand. Suddenly, time skips and King Crimson appears behind Giorno, severing Gold Experience's hand before he can react. Trish summons Spice Girl to protect Giorno but it is revealed that Diavolo had been hiding with Trish's soul inside Mista's body all this time, moving her body without her noticing. With Spice Girl in the open, King Crimson can now physically dominate her and manipulate Trish's body through it.

Tập tin:KingCrimsonSmile.png
"I, Diavolo, have the Arrow!"

Evading Sticky Fingers, Diavolo begins to run towards Chariot Requiem, making Bucciarati realize Diavolo has a plan. Mista shoots at Diavolo but King Crimson makes evading the bullets effortless despite Mista's best intentions. The team hopelessly runs after the Boss but's already caught up to Chariot Requiem near the Ponte Sant' Angelo while Giorno and Polnareff can only watch from afar. Diavolo turns around Chariot, observing its shadow and discovering that no matter his position, Chariot's shadow will always be opposite from him. He then finally unravels the mystery of Chariot Requiem's nature, discovering that the shadow is in truth the shadow cast by one's soul. King Crimson punches behind Diavolo's head, hitting a small orb of light responsible for casting the shadow and disables Chariot Requiem. Diavolo has taken hold of the Arrow.

Mista empties his magazine to force King Crimson to defend itself while Sex Pistols ride some bullets to reach the Arrow and knock it back to him, but a corpse suddenly gets in the way of the bullets and also sends the Arrowhead at King Crimson's feet. Bucciarati is still too far and Mista must reload his gun; both are helpless as a "grateful" King Crimson reaches for the Arrowhead. Suddenly, a bullet comes out and knocks the Arrow in the air toward the team. Spice Girl comes out, revealing that she has softened the bullets so that they were merely squashed down and stuck to King Crimson's hand; she then reverted them to overcome her father. Furious, King Crimson punches Spice Girl in the stomach, mortally wounding Trish and sending Mista's body flying toward the Arrowhead. Bucciarati watches on in shock, seeing Trish's soul go limp.

Bucciarati ascends to Heaven

Piercing its hand with the Arrow, King Crimson declares his victory before realizing that the Arrow is phasing through his fist. It is only when he lands on the ground that he sees that the souls altered by Chariot Requiem are returning to their original bodies. As such, Diavolo/King Crimson is temporarily left without a body and is unable to grab the Arrow. Bucciarati explains that he has also guessed Chariot Requiem's weakness, revealing that he's about to completely destroy the ball of light behind him, which will destroy Chariot and fully return the souls to their original bodies. Diavolo angrily pleads for his cause, but Bucciarati destroys the ball anyway, obliterating Chariot and undoing its effects. While Mista realizes with glee that Trish's soul will be saved and Diavolo curses the heroes, Bucciarati has a last discussion with Giorno. Seeing Bucciarati's ghost in front of him, Giorno realizes that his partner is dead for good. For his part, Bucciarati confesses that until Giorno spurred him into action, he had been dying a slow death and entrusts the end of their mission to Giorno, asking him to salute the team on his behalf. Bucciarati thus ascends to Heaven and Giorno seizes the Arrow.

Giorno pierces his Stand with the Arrow

Having returned to his body, Diavolo cannot acknowledge that Fate, which had granted him King Crimson, could work against him. At a disadvantage, he decides to retreat temporarily but Trish warns Giorno of her father's intentions. As Giorno lifts the Arrow high in the air, Diavolo convinces himself to stay and fight Giorno; moreover, he forecasts that Golden Experience won't be changed. Diavolo thus runs toward Giorno as he uses the Arrow. The Arrowhead stabs Golden Experience's chest but it seemingly remains unchanged and drops the Arrowhead. Elated, Diavolo declares Giorno unworthy and sends King Crimson to smash Golden Experience's face in. However, Diavolo then realizes that the Arrow is being absorbed into Golden Experience and that it is undergoing a dramatic metamorphosis. King Crimson attacks again but realizes that he has only struck an empty shell.

Trish declares that Giorno has mastered the Arrow as Diavolo turns to see Giorno floating alongside his new Stand: Golden Experience Requiem. Confused, Diavolo can barely defend himself from Golden Experience Requiem's attack as it flicks a stone at King Crimson, piercing its hand and even destroying a stone column behind, only for the debris to turn into scorpions that leap to sting Diavolo. Giorno finally deigns to speak to Diavolo; he declares that as only reality matters and the reality born of righteous actions will always matter. He questions whether Diavolo's action will amount to anything in the end. However, Diavolo internally realizes that King Crimson could still predict the attack and thus that he still can kill Giorno. His hopes are confirmed when he forecasts himself killing Giorno. He then erases time, in order to get to the result he has predicted. Diavolo evades bullets from Mista and also blinds Giorno with some blood before preparing to finally strike him down.

Suddenly, Diavolo realizes that events during the period of erased time are now going backwards; blood is returning to his hand and the bullets fly back inside of Mista's gun. Furthermore, even the time erasure is being undone. Shocked, Diavolo tries to bash Giorno's head, only to realize that his actions are also reversing, to his dismay. Golden Experience Requiem then speaks out, explaining that Diavolo may see the future reality but that it can deny him this result. Diavolo finds himself in the exact state he was in just before erasing time and realizes that his every action was for naught. Seeing the gulf in power between them, Diavolo is powerless to prevent Golden Experience Requiem from pummeling him.

Summary[sửa]

A dramatic recap of the last episodes renarrates the events of the last night, from Chariot Requiem's appearance to Giorno seizing the Arrow, to the tune of O Fortuna. The plot then briefly jumps back to the past with Team Bucciarati sharing a meal together.

Tập tin:GW ep38 Diavolo defeated.png

Diavolo and King Crimson get heavily pummelled by Gold Experience Requiem and are sent into the Tiber. Mista and Trish are amazed at Giorno's victory but Trish then raises the alarm as she cannot see Diavolo's body. It is shown that Diavolo is now further down the river and is climbing into a sewer, having somehow survived his encounter with Gold Experience Requiem. However, he then meets with a group of homeless men who just injected themselves with drugs. One of the delirious men then stabs Diavolo in the chest in an attempt to protect his coat, which horrifies Diavolo as he finds himself defenseless. Suddenly, Diavolo blacks out and wake up in an unknown room. Confused, Diavolo sees a doctor named Bản mẫu:MN record her operation, which is revealed to be an autopsy on Diavolo himself. Diavolo is unable to move or be heard by Ultello, and watches with horror as she harvests his organs. Diavolo blacks out and now finds himself in the streets. Remembering everything, the once almighty Boss is bewildered by what is happening to him. Startled by a bystander's dog, he moves back but trips into the road and on the path of a speeding car.

Tập tin:GW ep38 spirits in the sky.png

Back to Rome, Trish senses that Diavolo is still alive, but Giorno reassures her that although he doesn't understand Gold Experience Requiem's ability, he is sure that Diavolo is now trapped out of reality himself and is living a neverending demise. Diavolo is last seen in the countryside despairing of his countless deaths and shouting at a little girl to stay away from him. Mista suddenly remembers Bucciarati and, assuming that he's still alive, tells his companions to hurry back to the Colosseum and heal him. Reminded of his partner's death, Giorno feels distressed but then witnesses Bucciarati, Abbacchio and Narancia in the clouds who reassure him about the future. Giorno notices the Arrowhead on the ground.

Back to the flashback, Mista enthusiastically explains how he's deduced that meat from herbivores must be more delicious than the meat from carnivores, meaning that humans must actually taste bad. Bucciarati arrives and informs the team that "Leaky-Eye" Bản mẫu:MN has died and that Polpo has ordered him to investigate the matter. Moreover, Fugo presents a florist to him. The florist explains to Bucciarati that one day, his daughter went to her boyfriend's apartment and then jumped from the roof of the building, clutching a round stone with her. The florist suspects the boyfriend Scolippi, a sculptor by trade, and asks Bucciarati to avenger his daughter in exchange for his life savings.

Tập tin:GW ep38 Mista & Rolling Stone.png

Bruno refuses to simply commit a revenge hit but accepts to investigate the matter and deal justice. Bucciarati tasks Mista to go to the boyfriend. However, Mista suddenly sees a round stone in his seat as he stands up. Mista touches the stone, only to hear someone pleading to be killed. Although Mista is worried, everybody only sees an ordinary stone and urge him to hurry to the parking lot so that Fugo and Bucciarati can drop him off at Scolippi's address. Disturbingly, Mista keeps spotting round stones near him as the group drives to the boyfriend's appartment and mentions this to his team, although his suspicions only confuse them. Fugo and Bucciarati drop Mista off, but Bucciarati then decides to follow Mista to watch over him. Meanwhile, Mista has reached the elevator. Suddenly, he sees the stone inside the elevator and instinctively shoots it. However, the crumbling stone takes the shape of an injured Bucciarati and Scolippi can be seen hiding behind the door of the elevator. Mista thus realizes that a Stand is involved in this case.

Bản mẫu:Episode boxBản mẫu:Nihongo is the thirty-ninth and final episode of Golden Wind and the one-hundred-fifty-second episode of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. The episode covers from Chapter 592 to Chapter 594 of the original manga.

Summary[sửa]

Tập tin:GW ep39 Scolippi explaining stuff.png

Although he is shocked to see a statue of a dying Bucciarati, Mista quickly incapacitates Scolippi, makes the elevator go up, and begins to interrogate him. Scolippi reveals that he's a sculptor unaware about Stands except for his own ability, Rolling Stones, which acted on its own and followed Bucciarati. Mista then notices that the stone has disappeared and Scolippi explains that Bucciarati's fate has been sealed, just like how stones are fated to take the form of a given statue. Skeptical, Mista tries to intidimate Scolippi into bringing back the stone by forcing a russian roulette on the sculptor as Scolippi explains that Rolling Stones predicts future deaths and confronts its target to let them die peacefully when they touch it, claiming this ability to be the true cause behind his girlfriend's death. Mista shoots Scolippi in the mouth, but his gun misfires, as Scolippi isn't supposed to die. After pistol-whipping Scolippi, Mista calls Fugo to warn him and Bucciarati, only to learn that Bucciarati had already decided to go in to help and is currently in the range of Rolling Stones.

Tập tin:GW ep39 Mista falls.png

Shooting three of the Sex Pistols to seek Bucciarati, Mista makes the elevator go down and begs a barely conscious Scolippi for a way to stop Rolling Stone. Scolippi then mentions the possibility of destroying the stone although he isn't sure it can work. Bucciarati is already at the 7th floor and Rolling Stones is already near its target. Shooting up the elevator shaft, Mista manages to delay the stone by shooting it so that he can join Bucciarati and explain the situation. However, in doing so he's aggravated the wounds present in Bucciarati's statue. Mista holds the stone down but it then sinks into the stairs and reappears from a wall to ambush Bucciarati. Using Sticky Fingers, Bucciarati zips to the outside of the building, closely followed by Rolling Stones. The stone almost touches Bucciarati but Mista is able to grab it and throws himself off the building while still holding the stone. Mista then lands on a car's roof and Rolling Stones breaks on the concrete. Trusting Scolippi's word, Mista performed this daring action knowing he wasn't fated to die this day. Incidentally, Mista lands on Fugo's car, as he had come back to give Mista the tape recorder he had forgotten.

Tập tin:GW ep39 Team Bucciarati.png

With the stone destroyed, Mista is satisfied to leave the whole affair as is, choosing not to reveal to Bucciarati or Fugo what he learned from Scolippi. Bucciarati decides to investigate the case of Luca's death himself.

As the gang walks away, Scolippi appears from behind a window, seeing that Mista has not managed to prevent Bucciarati's death after all. The dust and rubble from the shattered stone, unbeknownst to the gangsters, takes the form of Abbacchio and Narancia as well, signalling their impending deaths. He remarks that if Bucciarati had accepted the stone as his fate, it would have been over at that moment. However, their resistance has led to a change of fate and more deaths as a result. As a silver lining, Scolippi notes that Mista was ready to die for his leader and, admiring this determination, hopes that the youths' arduous road ahead will fulfill some purpose.

Tập tin:GW ep39 finale.png

Back to the present, Giorno is staring at the Arrow in his hand, causing Mista to chew him out for his tardiness. Suddenly, Trish suddenly trips on a round rock reminding Mista of Rolling Stones. Trish disappears briefly but it simply turns out that Coco Jumbo has caught up to the team, having accidentally sucked Trish into his room. Moreover, Jean Pierre Polnareff's soul has clung to the room inside of Coco Jumbo, allowing him to linger a bit more in the world of the living. As Mista reminds the group that Bucciarati is still in the Colosseum, Polnareff begins to recall that Bucciarati's soul has since departed but Giorno silences him with a look. Mista is then distracted as he remembers Trish critizing him for his body odor earlier and begins to agree with her, but she reassures him and says that she doesn't mind anymore. As the group heads to the Colosseum, Giorno tells Polnareff that he won’t destroy the Arrow, claiming that those who carry on the will of the departed must keep moving forward. Polnareff respects Giorno's decision, and advises that he keep the arrow inside Coco Jumbo.

Golden Wind ends with Mista opening the windows of a chamber in which several mafiosi are present to kiss the hand of Giorno, showing their respect torwards the new head of Passione.

Manga/Anime Differences[sửa]

  • Mista is no longer shown reloading his gun via his hat before shooting Scolippi.
  • The photo of Scolippi is no longer shown falling to the ground in the elevator.
  • Scolippi is no longer shown throwing up after Mista knees him.
  • Mista has Scolippi in an arm lock during the interrogation, rather than just holding him at gunpoint.
  • Mista uses his gun to hit the elevator button rather than his hand.
  • When Scolippi talks about Michelangelo, scenes of Michelangelo at work are shown.
  • When Scolippi explains the connection between the flower shop owner's illness and his daughter's death, the pose Scolippi takes is changed slightly, with his arms stretched out more and the wounds on his hands clearly shown. This is a possible reference to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, as Scolippi's design also features a crown of thorns and the wounds to his hands resemble the stigmata.
  • Bucciarati is now briefly shown during Mista and Fugo's call.
  • The elevator indicating Mista is on the fourth floor when Sex Pistols tell him Bucciarati is approaching Rolling Stones has been omitted.
  • Mista is now holding his gun while Rolling Stones falls through his fingers into the floor.
  • Bucciarati now asks Mista what's going on after Mista loses track of Rolling Stones.
  • After Bucciarati disappears into his zipper, Mista is now shown running towards him and cries out his name.
  • As Bucciarati holds on to his zipper, his hands are no longer shown trembling.
  • As Fugo, Mista, and Bucciarati leave the scene, Fugo has a line added mentioning they could use Moody Blues to replay the events rather than having Mista explain.
  • Before walking back to the Colosseum, a scene is added of Giorno looking back.
  • In the final scene, a brief shot of various objects placed next to the turtle is added. These objects (a yellow and a white flowers similar to the ones Giorno grew from respectively Abbacchio and Narancia's bodies, a zipper, and a wine bottle of the same brand as the one the group drank in Venice) represent the three main characters who passed during Golden Wind's events.

Trivia[sửa]

  • Giorno's outfit in the final scene is taken directly from the cover of Volume 61.
